Insecticide azamethiphos is a white or off-white crystalline powder with special smell and this feature can be used for identification of this product. It is insoluble in water and soluble in most organic solvents. For mode of action, the main function is stomach poisoning effect which is very obvious and significant to adult flies, cockroaches, ants and some other insects. If combined with induced agent, its ability for killing flies can be increased by 2-3 times.

Powered insecticide azamethiphos can be directly spread at the gathered place of adult flies, cockroaches and 2 g for one square meter is enough. As well as that, 10% suspension can be sprayed on ground, wall and ceiling and the dose is 50mL per square meter. If paining is chose, 100g wet product mixed with 80mL water are prepared to form paste and the paste can be painted on ground, wall and ceiling. Two spots are enough for 2 square meters and the size of every spot is 13cm×10cm. Although the product has low toxicity, it has a slight stimulating effect on eyes, thus direct spraying on animals is banned.
