Insecticide azadirachtin, belongs to tetracyclic triterpenoid compounds and present in nuclear and leaves of Azadirachta indica, is a plant origin active substance able to kill pests. It is recognized worldwide as a broad-spectrum insecticide and with the feature of high efficiency, low toxicity, easy biodegradation and less residue, it has significant effects to almost all plant pests.

The mechanism of insecticide azadirachtin is to create antifeedant effect by directly or indirectly destroying insect mouthparts chemosensory organs or affect the vitality of the insects by interfering nutrition conversion through functioning on intestinal digestive enzymes. High concentration of this product can directly kill the pests and low concentration can result in permanent larva or deformity of the pupa and adult. At the same time, it also can affect the balance of insect hormones, thereby inhibiting their reproductive function. This product can be used for prevention of more than 400 pests of 10 orders for agriculture, forestry, warehousing and health. Because of its special effect on lepidoptera and coleoptera and no pollution for humans, animals and environment, this product is regarded as a very ideal pesticide.
