Insecticide dicofol, also known as kelthane, is solid for pure product and light yellow to reddish-brown single-phase transparent oily liquid for 20% emulsifiable solution. This product has low toxicity to humans, animals and natural enemies. The main function of this product is contact action, with no systemic poisoning effect, the residue period could be as long as 20 days. As a result, it could be used for combating a variety of spider mites on fruit trees, flowers and other crops. As well as that, it has special effects on various stages of red spider mites, larva and eggs.

For usage, 800 to l000 times 20% EC uniform spray can be used for beginning of peak or sprouted period of larva of the citrus red mite. At the same time, spider mite control is usually applied for bananas and 800-1000 times can be sprayed in diffusion or full incidence period. The main part is the back surface until spray drops.

There are many cautions for using insecticide dicofol. In the first place, because of specific structure, this product can emit toxic gases under high temperature so storage and application should be paid more attention. As well as that, this product is not suitable for tea, edible fungi, vegetables, melons, strawberries and other crops because excessive pesticide residues may occur. Sometimes, drug injury may happen after using this product, for example, ruby varieties of apple, so this should be avoided.
